While Dez and Jerry enjoy Beyonce/Jay-Z concert, Cowboys in Empire State of Mind

FRISCO — Cowboys Nation was ringing the alarm Tuesday night when Dez Bryant and Jerry Jones were spotted sitting together at the Beyonce/Jay-Z concert at AT&T Stadium, but don’t get any ideas that the receiver and the team will reunite.  The Cowboys currently have 99 other problems, and Dez ain’t about to be another one. The problems in Dallas’ 16-8 season-opening loss at Carolina were mostly on the offensive end, however the players say it wasn’t all as bad as […]

Garrett backs up Linehan after offensive no-show in Cowboys’ opener

FRISCO — Jason Garrett stated the obvious a day after the Cowboys’ offense was almost completely shut down in a 16-8 loss at Carolina: it needs to get a lot better. “We didn’t play with good enough rhythm, particularly early in the game.  It got a little bit better, but we have got a long way to go.  We have to improve offensively; move the ball better and score points.” Dallas didn’t get past midfield until the third quarter, didn’t […]

Does Cowboys’ 0-4 preseason record matter? History says no

HOUSTON — The Cowboys lost to the Texans 14-6 on Thursday to wrap up an 0-4 preseason schedule.  But of course, records are not the point of the preseason. “Obviously, you have a lot of different objectives going into each of the games,” said head coach Jason Garrett.  “It starts with the playing time of your guys; you`re looking at different people.  Certainly whenever you go out there you want to win, we’re competing to win, but that doesn’t override […]
