SEATTLE — The rock band Alice in Chains announced Friday it is going to perform on the Space Needle’s revolving glass floor 500 feet in the air next Tuesday. The performance is to help promote the Aug. 24 release of their new album Rainier Fog. Jill Janus, singer in the metal band Huntress, dies at 43

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Jill Janus, lead singer of the heavy metal band Huntress, has died at age 43, her family and band said Thursday. Janus had long struggled with mental Illness, and killed herself outside Portland, Oregon, on Tuesday, her relatives and bandmates said in a statement released through publicist Alexandra Greenberg.
