Deputies arrest man accused of firing shots from car, breaking into Skyway home

SKYWAY, Wash. — Deputies took one person into custody after shots were fired from a car Monday in Skyway. According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy pursued the car a short distance. Deputies later arrested the suspect after he broke into a house. They said a witness was able to identify the suspect as the driver of the car in question. No further details were immediately known. Seattle sweetened beverage tax generates $4 million in first 3 months

SEATTLE — Seattle officials say the city’s sweetened beverages tax generated more than $4 million in revenue in its first three months. Julie Moore, the spokeswoman for the city’s Finance and Administrative Services department says that as of last Friday, the office had received more than $4 million in first-quarter tax payments.
