Zsa Zsa, whose bodacious tongue recently won her the 30th annual World’s Ugliest Dog Contest, died in her sleep, the English bulldog’s owner said Tuesday. Koko, the gorilla who mastered sign language and showed the world what great apes can do, has died. WYFF, the NBC-affiliated station in Greenville, South Carolina, is mourning the loss of two journalists who died while on assignment in the region on Monday. Anchor Mike McCormick and photojournalist Aaron Smeltzer were out covering hazardous weather conditions in Polk County, North Carolina, when a tree crushed their news van, the station reported. Granbury High School honors students who drowned on ‘Senior Skip Day’

GRANBURY – Granbury High School students released hundreds of white balloons into the air in honor of their classmates who died Monday. Oscar Rios and Julio Espinosa-Guerrero passed away drowning while swimming in a lake at Wheeler Branch Park near Glen Rose, just southwest of Fort Worth.
